Ian Collings
Ian Collings is a recent graduate of Pratt Institute with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design. Ian’s designs are a beautiful result of surprising innovation, material sensitivity, and environmental response.
His innate desire to create meaning with his work has led to designs that are both sophisticated and engaging. Out of his sculptural intuition and exceptional ability to access the transformative nature of materials found in his urban environment have emerged highly developed testaments to form and functionality.
Ian's deep appreciation for craftsmanship has fueled a never-ending refinement of his skills and effective treatment of material and processes. As he seeks to deepen his understanding of all that surrounds him, his work continues to serve as a reflection of his sensitivity to our object relationships.
