Frank Cresencia
Frank Cresencia grew up in central New Jersey, where he realized and developed a passion for making things. In 2006 he enrolled in the Rhode Island School of Design, where he is currently finishing his BFA in Furniture Design. With an aesthetic that often focuses on material integration, his work attempts to draw upon the idea of connection. He questions how objects connect with the spaces they inhabit; how materials interact with one another; and how people relate to the furniture they use. As an advocate of heirloom design, Frank believes in making things that will last generations.

Slab Bench - Frank Cresencia

Air-dried Walnut, Powder-coated Steel
This beautiful slab of American Black Walnut was air-dried for nearly 25 years before being made into the top for this bench. The ends were cut at a slight angle, while a hand-rubbed oil and polyurethane finish preserves the beauty and color of the wood. The white, powder-coated steel frame adds a modern feel to the clean lines of this piece.
