When a tablecloth is used over a table, the table is used as a support for the tablecloth. To eliminate the need for a supporting table, the tablecloth is stiffened, therby the tablecloth becomes the table. The fiber cloth is sprayed with epoxy and reinforced with Kevlar to create a strong, sturdy table. Each table is uniquely hand-draped.

The "Joist On White" console is the third in a trio of consoles that were produced as a series in 2008. Each of the other two consoles where on view at and sold through Voos. These pieces are perfect for the entrance or entry hall to any home or apartment. This particular console features a removeable top in old growth southern yellow pine which was reclaimed from a factory floor in Hoboken NJ. The wood, as a function of both its age and species, is very dense and hard. The base of the console is hand fabricated in 1/2" x 1" solid steel bar, with tig welded connections. Each leg meets the floor with a stainless steel thumbscrew for easy leveling.

Our Hollow line of furniture reveals the potential interiors in each piece. Clean lines and contrasting tones of dark and light Bamboo are used to show volume and accentuate negative space. The small end table is comprised of a number of additional folds that create pockets for storage. With a side magazine/book cubby and a thru-surface this piece will provide you with hidden storage as well as a foot rest. The smooth surface is treated with an Organic Herbal Oil and a durable Non-Toxic Water Based Finish. Currently in the showroom.

An exploration of wax as material for usable furniture is alluringboth for it’s ability to be cast but also it’s ability to be meltedback down to liquid form at any point in it’s life cycle and recastinto something else. The material used is an industrial wax with ahigher melting point (240 degrees) and surface durability than waxesused for candles etc. The tabletop surface indicates the fusion ofpouring the liquid wax over a bed of wax still in bead form. There areno additional internal supports and has been tested to hold 150 lbs. Currently in the showroom.

The design for this table was inspired by a trip I took to Puerto Escondido, Mexico, where I surfed for the first time. The table is made out of steel, but I created a patina for the top that gives it the appearance of wood. Each table is unique due to the organic patina process.
