Marianne van Ooij [oy] is a Brooklyn based Dutch designer who works in a variety of disciplines, including textiles, furniture design and ceramics.
Trained as an industrial designer at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, she recently launched a shelving line called 'Slim'.

Toile de Jouy fabric originated in France in the 17th century. Originally the fabric was made by using woodblocks to handprint the generally outdoors scenery.
