Roy Kushner
Roy Kushner’s furniture and industrial designs have evolved out of a long and emerging relationship with design and materials. As a trained Architectural Designer and Art Historian he has worked in architecture, interior design, and construction. Throughout the course of Roy’s professional career he has become increasingly and intimately involved with materials and methods of construction.
His Patented Picture Frame is a small work of art which cleverly combines the generic with the unique. The picture frame is a modern easel designed to be personalized by the inclusion of a variety of whimsical and colorful laser-cut acrylic "ornaments."
Roy’s work has been shown at the former henro furniture showroom in SoHo; The DKNY Flagship store in Midtown Manhattan; Hogar Collection in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; and at A Taste of Art, in Tribeca.

Arco, "Post No Bills" Side Table - Roy Kushner

1/2" diameter galvanized steel pipe, zinc pipe fittings, 1/2" exterior grade plywood, painted with "Post No Bills" Stencil and clear polyurethane finish.
The “Arco” table was conceived during an experiment with materials that were seen discarded from a construction site. The table was an effort to design something elegant and useful from materials that are typically regarded as practical and banal. Alternate colors, stencils, and materials are available upon request. The table is designed to ship flat and requires only a screwdriver for assembly. Once assembled, the entire table weighs only 7.5 pounds. Tables made from up to 99% recycled materials are available upon request. Lead times for tables made from upcycled materials are based on the volume of construction waste available at the time the order is placed. Currently in the showroom.
