Avram Rusu

Avram Rusu was founded by architect and designer, Andreea Avram Rusu. The New York based company offers lighting that is as attentive to the quality of its composition as to the design of its elements. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Andreea worked as an architect in Paris and New York prior to creating Avram Rusu. Working in architecture has informed a multifaceted approach to the lighting of space. ”Light transforms space,“ says designer Andreea Avram Rusu, “It is the single greatest determinant of how a space feels.”
Andreea currently works in lighting, architecture and interiors simultaneously. She does not distinguish between disciplines in the design fields: graphics, architecture, interior, product design – considering it only a variation of medium and scale. For her working with light is simply the most personal.

FLOAT Halo is a graceful extension of the FLOAT Modular Lighting Collection. This chandelier’s spare visual vocabulary belies its luxurious presence. Its elements are subtlety expressed through effortless detailing and impeccable craft in this contemporary refinement of the classical form. FLOAT Halo is available in two sizes: 32” and 24” diameter. Finishes include 24K Gold Leaf, twelve jewel toned glass colors, and brushed aluminum. Choose from polished, satin aluminum or 24K gold plated hardware. Chrome lamps furnish indirect lighting. Half etched globe lamps were custom designed for this collection for diffuse lighting.
