31 & Change is a Brooklyn-based furniture company that designs with a twist, a wink and a smile in mind. Each piece is hand crafted from American hardwoods and built in the company’s Greenpoint, Brooklyn studio. It’s founded and run by Kurt Lenard, whose experience as a Graphic Designer and Art Director influences the bold - colorful nature of the work. 31 & Change creates memorable pieces that blend urban undertones with the rustic nature of the great outdoors. Built in a city that is no stranger to the blending of contrasting ideas.

Bastard chairs are a dime a dozen and we tend to cast them off into purgatory all too often. The Greene Ave. collection is a project that rescues these orphan chairs and upcycles them into a one-of-a-kind bench for your entrance way, dining table or backyard patio. Each bench uses three contrasting chairs from different eras to form a new contemporary piece. All benches range in size, shape and color. The bench shown is made from unforgiving hard-nosed Hickory and painted cardinal red.

Tree-ring dating, unlike speed-dating, can be productive and fun at dinner time. So while you’re counting carbs and calories you can also count the rings of this once massive Big Leaf Maple tree. The Waterbury St. Collection uses antique café bases and pairs them up with slabs of flame bursted big leaf maple. Each base is powder coated for durability while each slab is hand finished with natural oil.

This exotic piece of claro walnut is steel reinforced to prevent warping giving the table longevity and strength. The legs are powder coated with a durable sea-foam finish.
